Southside was selected as the General Contractor for both the interior and exterior renovations as well as a new addition to the McKenney Dodge automotive dealership located in Gastonia, North Carolina. This fast track design-build project, designed by Priest Architecture includes a new 35 foot tall arched parapet wall with all new exterior EIFS and metal panels, a new storefront in addition to a new 1,000 square foot vehicle delivery center with operated electronic overhead doors.

Interior modifications in the showroom consist of new drywall, carpet, ceramic tile, paint, glazing, acoustical ceilings with insulation, and millwork to create an up to date design. Also included to serve customers better was a redesigned bathroom with handicap accessibility and features new ceramic tile and accessories. Renovations in the service department include a new area for vehicle write-up, new overhead doors, a remodeled waiting room, parts display, and a play area for children. Southside also addressed the Owners needs for roof and asphalt patching.

Maintaining sales and service operations while renovating the dealership was of utmost importance to the project. Constant communication and coordination between McKenney Dodge and Southside allowed business to continue while the work was performed.
