Southside was chosen by McKenney Chevrolet to perform interior and exterior renovations to make the existing facility in Lowell, North Carolina compliant with GM branding requirements. Using plans designed by C. Jeff Stroud, A.I.A., Southside offered several value engineering options to lower the cost without comprising the quality of the renovations.
After selective and structural demolition, Southside renovated the customer areas including the indoor showroom and offices, service write-up area, cashier office, parts department, and the outdoor showroom. The scope of work consisted of all new interior finishes and lighting and a new exterior skin construction of composite panels. Southside completed the project in phases and planned the schedule to limit disruptions, allowing the dealership to remain open during the renovations.
