Southside constructed the new 3,500 square foot pump building for the wave pool at Carolina Harbor. This concrete masonry unit building houses all of the pumps to circulate and filter water through the wave pool, and also contains the fans which create the waves for the pool. Due to the size of this building, Southside faced the challenge of making a CMU block building look like a natural part of the water park. This was achieved with a façade that gives the appearance of a wood siding building you might see at a beach in the Carolinas.
