Southside brought Usry Wolfe Peterson Doyle Architecture’s design to life by building the Carolina Forest Recreation Center. This LEED certified project currently serves as a fun place for Horry County residents and visitors to indulge in various activities.

The facility includes a cantilever second-story walking track above a full-court gymnasium. The building was further accentuated with fiber optic lighting, color concrete flooring, and impact resistant glass. The center also includes a main lobby with a clerestory atrium, a kitchen, and locker rooms.
Finishes included interior and exterior brick finishes, seamless glass, and high-end natural maple mill work and case work.
