355 space Park and Ride Facility in Cornelius, NC. This project was funded with grant monies provided by the Federal Transit Administration. Southside ensured the project met the requirements for using Federal grant money such as, using products manufactured or originated in America and subcontracting to businesses that are members of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. Sitework included clearing, excavating, and constructing a storm water management/detention system. Designed by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc and Redline Design, the project consisted of a driver comfort station that included climate controlled restrooms. Passenger amenities included a canopy shelter, benches, and trash cans. Bicycle and pedestrian amenities were also included in the scope of work. Security/surveillance equipment and lighting were installed for safety. The Artwork Transmit component featured patterned three layer art glass system, Architectural Composite Metal Panels and geometrically challenged wall system.
