Construction of Villa Antonio Italian Ristorante – Ballantyne Village

Charlotte, North Carolina, November 3, 2005—Southside Constructors, Inc. began construction in September on the Villa Antonio Italian Ristorante. Specializing in authentic Northern Italian cuisine and serving the Charlotte area since 1987, this will be the second restaurant for owner Antonio Garcia. Located in Ballantyne Village, it is scheduled to open in December.

This 6,000 square foot upfit restaurant will offer serious elegance, as well as a festive yet romantic atmosphere with an Italian flair. For dining, there will be the Villa Rotunda Room, two private dining areas and a large ‘piazza’ (patio). Additional areas of the restaurant will include a cocktail lounge, piano bar, dance floor, kitchen and hostess/waiting area.

Designed by Urban Architecture, architect John Urban describes it as “a highly energized space of varying materials and scale, creating a breathtaking visual experience complimenting the smells and colors of the cuisine.”
