Southside Constructors, Inc. Takes a ‘Uniform’ Approach in Charlotte

Unifirst Corporation selects General Contractor for renovations and additions

Charlotte, North Carolina, November 7, 2008 – Southside Constructors, Inc. has been selected by the Unifirst Corporation for additions and renovations to one of their facilities located in Charlotte, NC. Designed by Wash Hatem Nelson Architects, this 27,000 SF two-story facility includes two lobby’s, three break rooms, managers offices, conference room, open office area, route room, finishing and maintenance areas, storage areas, restrooms, additional space for plant expansion. The focal point of the new office building is a 23 foot high curtain wall glass system constructed on a radius.

The addition to the building will be comprised of a structural steel frame with precast panels and scopes of work for the project will include all grading and site work; selective demolition; interior finishes; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems; and all structural elements. UniFirst is one of North America's largest workwear and textile services companies.
