General Contractor selected to build a new steak house

Southside Constructors, Inc. negotiated the contract for this new ground up restaurant located in the historic downtown area of Southern Pines, North Carolina.

Designed by JDavis Architects in Raleigh, NC, this single story facility is clad with tumbled modular brick and precast copings to mimic the existing historical environment. The exterior windows and doors are solid mahogany with true divided lite and beveled glass accents.

The interior finishes include extensive mahogany millwork throughout, color integrated plaster walls, mahogany ceiling accents, wood, stone and carpet flooring. The focal point of this restaurant is its two-story wine room located in the center of the building that houses a collection in excess of 12,000 bottles. The wine room cabinetry is individually refrigerated. Additional areas of the restaurant include four dining rooms including one private and one with a bar, a kitchen, wait station, an office and restrooms.

The structure is steel framed with light gauge walls and trusses. Site work and utility infrastructure are also included in the scope.
