New Birth-Charlotte Puts Their Faith in Southside Constructors, Inc.
General Contractor completes construction of 81,000 SF church

Huntersville, North Carolina, October 8, 2009 – General Contractor Southside Constructors, Inc. has completed construction of expansive new 81,000 square foot church. In September 2007 New Birth-Charlotte contracted with Southside to bring the building plans developed by Architect David L. Renkes to life.
 
New Birth-Charlotte began its worship services in the North Mecklenburg High School Auditorium in Huntersville, NC and was meeting in the University Area. Seven hundred people attended the first worship service and 90 people joined on that day. Beginning with Pastor Terrell Murphy’s family members and two other members from Atlanta, New Birth-Charlotte has since grown to over 7,000 members since March 2003. The Congregation is now occupying this newly built state-of-the-art facility allowing the church to actively serve the community.
 
The new two-story church includes a sanctuary consisting of a large balcony and stadium seating spacious enough to accommodate 2,400 people, classrooms, staff and conference rooms, offices, cafe/bookstore, dining/assembly area, commercial grade kitchen, and two elevators. A gymnasium with bleachers, basketball and volleyball courts, weight and aerobics rooms, locker rooms, a baseball field, and a soccer field will also be a part of the churches amenities.
 
The exterior of the facility consists of a pre-engineered metal structure with brick veneer and EIFS, architectural metal roofing, and an elaborate open structure steeple. Additional scopes of work include all interior finishes, a parking garage for the Pastor, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, a sprinkler system, audio/visual equipment, food service equipment, asphalt paving and curb and gutter.
