General Contractor chosen to perform interior renovations in Ft. Mill, SC



Fort Mill First Baptist Church selected Southside Constructors, Inc. (SCI) for this project based on their extensive project experience as well as their knowledgeable and professional team. Once selected, SCI then chose Urban Architectural Group and proceeded with this up-fit as a design-build project.

Located in Fort Mill, South Carolina, this 10,000 SF interior up-fit of an existing 30,267 SF church (above, insert) consisted of nine new classrooms as well as new restroom facilities on two floors. In addition to a new kitchenette on the ground floor, there is a second floor break area for coffee and refreshments. Other areas offer multi-functional meeting spaces including 2 classrooms separated by a heavy-duty operable partition that can be folded away to accommodate larger group meetings.

Work also included a new hydraulic elevator, interior finishes, MEP systems, and modifications to the existing fire sprinkler system to accommodate new room configuration. Accessories furnished and installed include projection screens, marker boards, tack boards, and television brackets for  fully functional classrooms.

Interior finishes of this project included:

• Carpet and vinyl base to make existing areas
• Ceramic tile flooring and wet wall with design in all restrooms
• Special “safewalks” material on the handicap ramp and kitchen area for slip resistance and durability
