Dallas Electrical Contractors, Inc. selects local General Contractor
to renovate former body shop in historic district

General Contractor Southside Constructors, Inc. was selected to renovate the newly purchased former Earl Tindol Ford Body Shop located on Second Avenue in Gastonia, North Carolina into Class “A” office space for its new owner and tenant, Dallas Electrical Contractors, Inc.  Owner and operator Ronald Stroupe, Jr., a long-time business associate of Southside Constructors, Inc., knew firsthand Southside would be well-equipped to refurbish the 1940’s 40,000 SF building, giving it a modern flair while still keeping its old-fashioned charm.  The overall renovation process was part of a downtown revitalization project sweeping through the historical sections of the city of Gastonia.  In order to stay true to the buildings roots, Southside researched adjacent structures to ensure the masonry pattern selected for the new storefront would correspond with that of the time period in which the facility was originally built. 

Other major endeavors of the Dallas Electric renovation included:

• Installation of finishes throughout the office portion of the building. Including new carpet, VCT tile, gypsum board, paint, and more.  The warehouse space was left “as is”
