Southside Constructors, Inc. was selected to build two new 3,000 square foot fast food dine-in, drive-thru restaurants for the Back Yard Burgers chain. KMO Development Group, Inc. is helping Back Yard Burgers expand their concept by speeding store delivery for qualified franchisees in several eastern and southeastern U. S. markets. These two fast track projects will be completed 90 days after notice to proceed.
The two buildings, located in Ballantyne and Fort Mill consist of wood framed structures with EIFS, stone and brick veneer. Additional features on the exteriors include two drive-thru windows, canopies, illuminated signage and large parking areas. Each upscale interior includes a 1,200 square foot dining room decorated in warm, inviting tones with ample seating and a beverage bar. Located directly behind the order counter is an 1,100 square foot kitchen with a separate dishwashing area. Each kitchen will be equipped with grills, a food assembly area, walk-in coolers and freezers, as well as many other elements required to operate a busy restaurant. Other areas in the buildings include offices, storage/utility areas, and restroom facilities.
